Hundreds of happy family members, Warriors Watch Riders and other veteran motorcycle groups welcomed them home to Fairfield. The riders scooped Boler up and escorted him to his home in Discovery Bay.
As they neared the city of Oakley, they were joined by two fire engines plus county sheriff’s and Oakley police officers, sirens blaring and lights flashing. A large group of family, neighbors, friends and military support groups lined the streets waving flags and cheering.
Boler, seen here being greeted by Donna Gould, was received with accolades, proclamations, coins, welcome home gifts and hugs and handshakes from a grateful community and the town of Discovery Bay.
He has served more than 20 years in the Army Reserve, California National Guard and on active duty, and is currently with the 49th Military Police Brigade.
When not serving in the United States Armed Forces, Boler is a motor officer with San Jose Police Department.
