When considering what can be done to help both the environment and your family’s budget, one of the first places to start is with one of life’s most critical resources: water.

“We have always tried to offer green-related products, even before it was considered appropriate or responsible to,” said Joe Trebino, co-owner of Delta Pure Water in Brentwood. “We started with the saltless water conditioner about 10 years ago. It was called the M5 and it offered our clients an alternative to salt or potassium-based water softeners.”

Delta Pure Water is always looking for “green” or environmentally smart products for its consumers. Every effort is made to research the longevity, the customer feedback and overall satisfaction of each product.

“We will typically install a test unit in our own home(s)," added co-owner Chris Hayek. “This allows us to not only test the unit for reliability, but develop our own opinion of the product and its abilities.”

One product Trebino and Hayek consider a very nice addition to their green line is the tankless water heater, which gives customers a continuous source of hot water without running out. The energy-efficient product boasts an overall energy savings of about 50 percent on water heating. It doesn’t store water in a tank, so the danger of a flood in your house is considerably reduced. The average life of a conventional water heater is six to 10 years, while a tankless water heater can give you up to 20 years of continuous service.

Delta Pure also installs the Ecosmart saltless water conditioner and chlorine-free pool systems. No salt or chlorine is needed to give you a sparkling, algae-free pool year ‘round.

If your conventional water heating system takes too long to provide hot water to the farthest destinations in your house, Delta Pure Water sells a hot-water circulation system that pumps the water to all points fast. Since these systems prevent you from waiting for water, they can save thousands of gallons of water per year.

Delta Pure Water is located at 41 Sand Creek Road, Suite A, in Brentwood. Call 925-634-6658.
