Kids are invited to begin a lifetime of fitness by taking a gymnastics class through the Brentwood Parks and Recreation Department.

During the seven-week program, the staff of Black Diamond Kids Center will teach children coordination, balance, flexibility and kinesthetic awareness through group games and an introduction to basic tumbling, trampoline and the balance beam.

Classes are available for kids 6-12 on Thursday afternoons or Saturday mornings; toddlers and kids 3-5 (accompanied by parents) on Tuesday mornings. Classes, which begin the week of Aug. 30, meet at the Black Diamond Kids Center, 2015 Elkins Way.

To register, call 925-516-5444 or log on to www.ci.brentwood.ca.us.
