Jarred Schubert was recognized by Brentwood’s Marine Corps League/Delta Diablo Detachment Post 1155 with several awards on Aug.19.

Jarred was presented with the league’s Distinguished Citizen medal, his Fifth National Physical Fitness Award, recognition for being a graduating honor patrol member of the U.S.M.C. Devil Pups Youth Leadership program held at Camp Pendleton, and for donating more than 300 hours of community service.

In addition, Jarred was presented with a $250 check by the Detachment’s Sr. Vice Commandant, retired Sgt. Major Ed Sutton, to help cover the costs of refurbishing the Freedom High School swimming pool deck as part of his Eagle Scout project.
