Interested in learning more about Brentwood? Curious to hear about the city’s plans, programs and budget for the coming year? The Brentwood City Update will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Brentwood Senior Activity Center, 193 Griffith Lane and is open to the public.

The free event, hosted by the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Bob Taylor and sponsored by Travis Credit Union and PG&E, will offer residents an opportunity to mix and mingle with members of the city council, department heads and other local officials.

Formerly called the State of the City, this year’s event was changed from the traditional luncheon to an evening session in an effort to broaden the public’s access to local officials, city information and projects.

“This will give people more one-on-one contact with people inside City Hall, not just face time with the mayor,” said Brentwood Chamber CEO Harry York.

In addition to informational offerings from the various city departments, the evening will include a 45-minute overview presentation, including details of the city’s downtown streetscape and civic center projects. Light refreshments will be served.

Please R.S.V.P. to the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce at 925-634-3344.
