Thank you for the article “Jakel looking at the silver lining” in the Aug. 27 edition of the Antioch Press.
As an 11-year Antioch resident, I feel fortunate that we have a city manager of the caliber of Jim Jakel. I appreciate the experience and common sense that he brings to the job. I am grateful for his courage in making difficult choices in these tough fiscal times and for his honesty and clear communication about what we do to keep our great city on the right track.
