Teens in grades six through 12 looking for a new hobby may sign up for a free three-class series: Teen Knitting Academy. Classes will be held Sept. 22, and Oct. 6 and 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Brentwood Library, 104 Oak St.

Brentwood resident Leigh Abresch, a devoted knitter for years, will teach the classes. Space is limited, so call or visit the library today to reserve your seat. Each class will build on skills learned during the previous session, so plan to attend all three. Please bring your own knitting needles and yarn. Size 6 or 7 needles and worsted weight wool yarn are recommended.

The Brentwood Library is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call 925-516-5290 or visit www.ccclib.org.
