Services for Yom Kippur

Chabad of the Delta, an organization focused on education and awareness of the Jewish faith and serving the communities of Pittsburg, Antioch, Brentwood, Oakley and Discovery Bay, will be hosting its first observation of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

Yom Kippur begins Friday, Sept. 17 at sundown and concludes on Saturday, Sept. 18 at nightfall.

Chabad of the Delta will be offering services in a warm and friendly traditional environment, featuring moving melodies, Hebrew/English Machzor prayer books and holiday and prayer insights. No tickets or affiliation is necessary to participate.

Services for Yom Kippur will begin Sept. 17 at 6:45 p.m.; morning services will be held Sept. 18 at 10 a.m.; the Yizkor memorial service begins at noon; and an afternoon service is held at 6:45 p.m.
