On Saturday afternoon, the Delta Patriots JV West Team went up against the Galt Jr. Warriors in a hard-fought, must-win game.

Determined running by Alex Espinoza put the Patriots up 6-0. On Galt’s next possession, Eddie Mason recovered a fumble inside the Warrior 10-yard line with 40 seconds to go in the half, but the Patriots couldn’t convert the turnover into points.

In the second half, a fired-up Patriot squad climaxed a long drive with a touchdown by Alejandro Espinoza. A two-point conversion by kicker Tyler Boer gave the Patriots a 14- 0 lead.

The Warriors finally put points on the board with 40 seconds remaining in the contest, but fell short by a score of 14-8.

Highlights of the game included outstanding interceptions by Ezra Magalei and Ryan Page, and Warrior fumbles forced by Michael Weisenberg and Nicco Pedreira. The Delta Patriots JV West look forward to this weekend when they go up against the Western Ranch Ravens.

Rookies West

The Delta Patriots Rookies West beat the Warriors 16-0 in a hard-hitting game dominated by great defensive play. Dominic Littlejohn recovered two fumbles, and Devin Lance and Ethan Eggert conducted the Patriots’ bruising tackling clinic.

JV East

The Delta Patriots JV East, hungry for a victory, stepped up to defeat the Weston Ranch Ravens 26-18. A strong defensive effort was spearheaded by Parker Mace’s fumble recovery and interception, Brooklyn Hardiman’s interception, and the hard hitting of Marcus Bustos and Dallis Ocampo. The Patriot offense overpowered the Ravens. Justin Dam rushed for three touchdowns behind the blocking of Jacob Wolff, Josiah Cerda and Angelo Westmacott.
