Raising funds for cancer research

Relay For Life of Antioch is on the move. This year’s event is held June 22 and 23 at Deer Valley High School.

After several years at the Los Medanos College track, the American Cancer Society fundraiser is relocating to the Deer Valley High softball fields, 4700 Lone Tree Way. The 24-hour event kicks off at 10 a.m.

At press time, 64 teams comprising 351 participants have raised $24,000 for cancer research. For more information about Relay For Life of Antioch, visit www.relayforlife.org/antiochca.
