You are cordially invited to the “Community Memorial Service in Remembrance of 250,000 Liberia’s War Victims on December 24, 2019. The Memorial gathering will be held at 605 West Madill Dr. Antioch CA 94509 from 5:30pm-7:00pm. The Coalition for Justice in Liberia (CJL), a 510(c)3 human rights organization dedicated to advocating for victims and ensuring departed souls are never forgotten. The voices of those affected have been silenced for too long. From those who fled the United States to escape death but live with everlasting trauma, to survivors involuntary coexisting with warlords.

Liberia was established by free black slaves from the U.S with the support of Americans. On the Eve of Christmas, December 24, 1989-2003, there was a back to back civil wars that killed more than 250,000 vulnerable men, women and children, including 5 American nuns and displaced more than millions of its citizens, many whom had migrated as refugees to the United States, settling in Northern California and other States.

Please join us as we pay tribute to the departed souls and as we seek justice to end violence against innocent people to make the world a peaceful place.
