CHICAGO: THE MUSICAL Razzle Dazzles Liberty High School

Chicago The Musical will make a Legendary stop over at Liberty High School starting February 22nd at 7pm! LHS Playmakers drama club has been working hard learning Bob Fosse’s dance style and balancing a double-cast set of lead actors to master this classic show! Based in 1920’s prohibition era Chicago, Chicago The Musical takes audiences on a satirical journey that is filled with the complexities of big city justice, chauvinism, and the pursuit of stardom. Music from Broadway Legends Kander and Ebb (Cabaret) defines this tale of greed, corruption, and media manipulation. All the things we hold near and dear to our hearts!

Playmakers Drama Club won 3 royalty-free performances of this High School edited version through the nationwide Razzle Dazzle contest! Samuel French Licensing company, Playbill, and Right On Cue Services took applications from youth drama clubs across the US and decided that Liberty was 1 of the 10 high schools to win! Playmakers members had to submit a video and an essay answering the question, “How do you Razzle Dazzle your community?” Liberty ends up the only California school winning and 1 of only 3 schools West of the Mississippi to take home the prize!

The performance run will feature a different cast of lead characters each weekend, so choose accordingly! Performance dates and times are as follows: September 12, 13, 14 7pm; September 19th, 20th 7pm; September 21st 2pm.
