The grand opening of the Oakley Senior Center was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Friday, June 21. The event began with the planting of 5,000 purple flags to represent the number of elder abuse cases filed in the county in 2018, and ended with a senior resource fair. City council members and Supervisor Diane Burgis welcomed the public to the event. Plans for the center include sending 140 Meals on Wheels each day, a Coco Café open five days a week and a food bank open on Fridays. The Oakley Senior Center is located at 215 Second St
