Heritage High School’s football-field turf is almost completed, and just in time, too, as athletes are chomping at the bit to do more than condition on the sidelines. Along with new turf, the field is getting freshly painted lines and other improvements to welcome the 2016 to 2017 school year. And Heritage isn’t the only one getting a new do this summer; Mary Casey Black Elementary School has adorned its handball walls with murals of the school’s mascot and Bristow Middle School is sporting a new, crisp, paint job.

The much-anticipated Zephyr Grill & Bar in Brentwood has finally reached the opening home stretch. The restaurant is awaiting the permits to open, while it wraps up job interviews and a few finishing touches on the location. According to the its Facebook page, the restaurant will be opening by the end of June or early July.
