Since we’re in the community spirit, here’s a shout out to Antioch High School’s cross-country team for taking Antioch Animal Shelter’s dogs out for a run once a week! Keep an eye out next week for our in-depth article about this new program, called Panther Tails. If you’re looking for your own furry friend to keep you company as you pound the pavement, visit www.facebook.com/antiochanimalservices to see the adoptable doggies.

Over in Discovery Bay, a go-to spot for fun has changed hands. The owners of UnWined, a wine, beer and cheese getaway, have sold the business to Jacquline Orr, to focus their efforts on a new restaurant in The Streets of Brentwood, a few doors down from their other business, Vine + Grain.
