Interpretive student aid, Jessica Furtado, holds Tyler the Gopher Snake, so that National, a student at Catalyst Academy of El Sobrante, can experience touching a snake for his very first time. The Big Break Regional Shoreline Visitor Center in Oakley was the site of an All Abilities Day event Tuesday, April 30.

The popular, inclusive program is designed to accommodate visitors of all abilities and included birding on the pier, watercolor painting, animal exploration and more. Flat, paved trails and a variety of activities provided engaging opportunities for visitors to explore the park.
