Contra Costa Animal Services (CCAS) and County Supervisor Diane Burgis are hosting a reduced cost microchip clinic on June 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Burgis’ office, 3361 Walnut Blvd., in Brentwood.
The clinic is to help families ensure that they can be reunited with their pets if they ever become lost. The cost of the microchip is $5.
Over the upcoming 4th of July holiday, many pets will unfortunately become lost – more than any other time of the year.
“I am excited to partner with CCAS to bring these services to East County,” said Burgis. “I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to protect their pet as we approach the Fourth of July.”
Participants will receive a free ‘doggie bag’ with treats and helpful information for pets and their owners.
