Brentwood Neighborhood Committee Holiday Home

Do you think you have the most festive house on the block?

The Brentwood Neighborhood Committee (BNC) is seeking homes within the Brentwood city limits whose front yards capture the spirit of the holiday season. A great way to show off your community pride and light up this special season, it’s also a perfect project for the entire family to enjoy, so pull out your Santa, sled, reindeer and wreath, and don’t forget the lights!

BNC’s Home of the Season program will select one resident as the 2016 winner, who will receive a yard sign stating their winning status, gift basket, gift card from Delta Informal Gardeners (DIG) and a parking pass giving them special parking privileges at The Home Depot. If you know of a home you’d like to nominate for the Holiday Home of the Season contest, please visit https://goo.gl/1aEh9W and click on the BNC link.

Nominations will be taken until Dec. 18. Participating residents will need to have their lights and animated scenes turned on from 6 to 9 p.m., on Dec. 20, in order for the judges to evaluate the home. Residences will be judged on the following criteria: originality - unique design and creative use of lights and décor; arrangement - display and placement of décor and animation; and theme - story line or cohesive scene. The winning home will be awarded on Dec. 21.
