Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area hosts “Frankly Speaking About Cancer Treatment: Taking Control of Side Effects With Medicine, Mind and Body” at its Walnut Creek center, 3276 McNutt Ave., on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 10 a.m.-noon.
Kaiser oncology nurse and cancer survivor Diana Longacre will lead the discussion which will teach cancer patients strategies to manage treatment side effects such as fatigue, anemia, infection and pain. Learn how to manage emotional distress and optimize quality of life during and after cancer treatment
