The City of Oakley recently held its annual Main Street Car Show, attracting more than 300 car enthusiasts. The Mayor’s Choice award was a 1947 Lincoln Zephyr, owned by Evan and Penny Haimovici. Judges’ Choice awards were given to four vehicles – 2013 Ford Mustang, owned by Tony Capitule; 1955 Chevy 150, owned by David Neely; 1934 Chevrolet Phaeton, owned by Chuck Hendsch; and 1965 Doge Cornet, owned by Joe Nehi. The Best of Show was awarded to a 1964 Chevy Malibu SS, owned by Bill and Sue Lewis. Seen here from left to right are Marian Capitule, Oakley Mayor Sue Higgins, Joe Nehi, Penny and Evan Haimovici, Chuck Hendsch, Bill Lewis and Branin Cook.
