[Video] Critical Incident Debrief Video for Officer-Involved Shooting on March 12th, 2023

The video linked below concerns an officer-involved shooting that took place on March 12th, 2023, in the 160 block of Sycamore Avenue. Brentwood officers responded to a report of a woman who was being held against her will by 30-year-old Joshua Smith of Long Beach, California. When officers responded to the scene, they heard gunshots and, shortly after, located the victim and Smith in an apartment unit breezeway. Smith was armed with a gun and fired multiple shots toward the officers, and one Brentwood Police officer discharged his service weapon.
