Oakley police made four arrests on Wednesday, Jan. 11, following reports of a potential burglary at the Raley’s grocery store on Main Street.
The four arrested men were Justin Snyder, 18, of Antioch; Justin Dorneberg, 20, of Concord; Lawrence Domina, 22, of Clayton; and Renaldy Mendieta, 44, of Antioch, according to a Jan. 12 press release by Oakley police. All four were arrested in connection with organized retail theft and booked into jail. Mendieta also faces possible additional charges as the getaway driver and for suspected possession of illegal drugs.
Police initially responded to a call that three "suspicious" young men were in the store with carts full of beer and laundry detergent, according to the release. Store employees told police they believed the men were “posturing themselves to steal the merchandise.” As officers were on their way to the scene, the men exited the store with the merchandise and loaded it into a black Ford F-150 that was waiting behind the store.
