Boy hit by car in Brentwood

UPDATE: 5-15-19, 11 A.M.

The driver of the car that struck a 14-year-old boy on Brentwood Blvd. Tuesday afternoon has been identified as 58-year-old Mark Maggiore, according to the Brentwood Police Department. 

Maggiore has been booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on two felony counts; suspicion of driving under the influence with injury and child endangerment.  

The juvenile pedestrian was admitted into Oakland Children’s Hospital and is in stable condition.

A 14-year-old boy struck by a car moving south on Brentwood Blvd., Tuesday afternoon was flown to Children’s Hospital Oakland. The accident was report at 3:28 p.m. near Fir Street and Brentwood Blvd. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence according to Brentwood Police Sergeant Mark Misquez.
