Brentwood Library is getting a Monday makeover this summer. Starting Monday, July 1, Pajama Storytime will be held on the first Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m., instead of every week. Each 45-minute session will feature a few stories followed by a simple craft for all ages. Monday, July 15, the library unveils Kids Create, a drop-in event held the third Monday each month from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Kids Create invites families to participate in different activities, from arts and crafts to STEAM – science, technology, engineering, art and math. Both monthly Pajama Storytime and Kids Create will be held in the downstairs Community Room.
The library recently debuted Maker Mondays for ages 12 and up, held every second Monday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the upstairs Makerspace. Teen makers can stretch their brains with science-themed projects for every skill level. Registration starts June 26 for the July 8 program, Coding with Scratch. Visit ccclib.org/programs or call the library to sign up. Future programs will be drop-in.
The Brentwood Library is located at 104 Oak St. It is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, contact the Brentwood Library at 925-516-5290 or visit ccclib.org/programs.
