Bring out your inner Delta Diva

The Delta Divas, a popular networking group for women, is kicking off the New Year with a special event, - New Year, New You, New Attitude - on Jan. 13.

East County women looking to put their best high heels forward in 2015 need look no further than the Delta Divas.

The popular networking group, which supports, empowers and opens doors for women in all aspects of their personal and professional lives, are celebrating the New Year with a special event designed to inspire.

The gathering – New Year, New You, New Attitude – takes place Jan. 13, from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m., at Co. Co. County Wine Company, 633 First St. in Brentwood.

“The event has something for everyone, whether you need help with your business, health, relationships or finances,” said Co-founder Deb Dutcher. “You will get some great information and things you can do immediately to get 2015 on the right track.”

The occasion will feature guest speakers who will discuss how women can achieve optimum health, wealth and mindfulness to nourish extraordinary relationships, including how to use LinkedIn to optimize a business persona.

The speakers include financial consultant Stephanie Alvarez, executive health coach Deb Dutcher, relationship coach Kellee Maranz and J.D. online presence expert Italina Kirknis.

The event is free and open to all women, regardless of employment or membership status.

According to Dutcher, one of reasons the Delta Divas is so popular is because there is no charge to join, and in the past year, the membership has climbed from 130 members to more than 200.

“There is so much cost associated with networking with many other groups,” said Dutcher. “The Divas are available to everyone.”

Other advantages to joining the networking group include having a network of diverse friends who help support each other’s endeavors. Members socialize and share experiences that help build relationships as well as increase members’ businesses.

The diverse membership includes business owners, a variety of professionals, women who have retired from their careers and stay-at-home mothers.

“Everyone is very friendly and supportive,” said Antioch resident Chris Stuart. “I love the diversity of the group and meeting people who do so many different things.”

The Delta Divas meet the second Tuesday of every month from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m., at Co. Co. County Wine Company, in downtown Brentwood.  Members can bring coupons or samples to promote their business.
