George Patrick “Pat” Perazzo, 66, died at home in Brentwood on Friday, May 9 after a battle with leukemia.
Born March 30, 1948 to George J. and Maureen C. (O’Connor) Perazzo in Sonoma County, Pat attended Christian Brothers and Rio Vista high schools, San Joaquin Delta College and Sacramento State University. While working, he attended Diablo Valley College, San Francisco State College and Los Medanos College at night because he believed in continuing his education.
On July 23, 1977, Pat married Peggy Barriskill in Paradise, California.
Pat lived in Sonoma, Isleton, San Francisco, Walnut Creek, Concord, Antioch and Brentwood. He retired from the Mt. Diablo School District as warehouse manager in 2010 after 25 years.
Pat will be especially remembered for his interest in hiking with the Healthy Steps Hiking Group in Pleasant Hill, computers, web design for the website Stone Quarries and Beyond, tai chi and bicycle riding.
Survivors include his wife Peggy B. Perazzo; his daughters and their families: Cassie Perazzo Bosley and husband Mark Bosley, and Megan Bradley, husband Scott Bradley and daughter Paityn. Four-and-a-half-year-old Paityn brought great joy to Pat’s life.
He is also survived by his brother Bob Perazzo, his family and his sister Maurya.
Rather than having a formal funeral service, Pat chose to have a Celebration of Life party to be held at his family home in June. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
The family especially wants to thank Pat’s hospice nurse Lisa Kimbrough for all of the care, support and attention she provided Pat and the entire family for many months.
