Myron Sorenson passed away peacefully at the age of 92 with his family beside him. He was born in Cherry Grove, PA and was the eighth child of 10 to his parents, Henry and Flossie Sorenson. He graduated from Warren H.S. in 1945 and immediately joined the Navy. He served his country proudly in WWII on the USS Franklin D Roosevelt in the Atlantic.
Upon returning home, he attended Coyne Electrical School. In 1952, he met the love of his life, Joyce Merry. After marrying, they relocated to California where they started their family. They raised their 3 children on a peach ranch in Brentwood, where he resided until his death. He retired from DuPont in 1985 after 29 years. He enjoyed farming, camping, hunting, going to casinos, and time with his family and friends.
Myron is predeceased by his parents, four brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Sorenson; his son Gerald (Ruth) Sorenson; daughters Marsha (Harlan) Carlson and Judy (Lee) Daversa, plus several grandchildren and great- grandchildren; one sister, Janice Fedorchick; one sister-in-law, Florence Sorenson; and many nieces and nephews.
