I just read the article about the hiring of a new assistant city manager for Brentwood. Adding his salary (which is Bay Area based, instead of local cost of living based) to the city manager’s income, you citizens of Brentwood are spending over $500,000 a year of your tax revenue for those two people to oversee the city management of your community. In true spend more than needed (California planners), you are depriving yourselves of fire, medical and emergency services that is drastically needed for our community. I live in Discovery Bay, and not in Brentwood, but the lack of emergency services (that does not meet California Standards) makes me concerned about our safety, while Brentwood city management eats caviar! Wake up serfs and think about your city and how it spends money. Lack of emergency services affects all residents in East County.
I support ECV (East County Voters for Equal Protection.)
