Freedom High School will host unique community events for children and adults in the coming weeks.
The school is offering week-long tennis camps this summer, led by U.S. Professional Tennis Association-certified coach Steve Amaro.
Sessions run June 11 to 14, June 24 to 27 and July 1 to 3. Sessions for those in grades two through eight run from 8:30 to 10 a.m.; grades nine through 12, from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. The courts will also be open from noon to 1 p.m.
Cost is $45 per week ($33 for the July session) plus four unopened containers of tennis balls per student. Attendees are required to wear nonmarking, soled tennis shoes and bring a tennis racquet.

Freedom Golf Tournament
Players will tee off for the 16th annual Freedom High School Athletics Golf Tournament on Monday, June 10, at 8:30 a.m., at Deer Ridge Golf Club in Brentwood.
The tournament, which raises money for the school’s general-athletics fund, also features a putting contest and raffle. Fees are $125 per tournament player, with reduced prices for teachers and classified staff and group prices. Entry includes lunch.
Putting contest-only tickets can be purchased, as well as lunch-only tickets. Other ticket options are available, as well as sponsorship opportunities.
