The North Coast Section Division 1 baseball and softball brackets were announced this weekend.

The Bay Valley Athletic League-champion Heritage baseball team (18-6, 9-1 in league play) grabbed the sixth-seed and will clash with their league-foe Freedom, the 11th seed, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, at Heritage High School.

The Falcons finished their regular season 14-10 and 7-3 in league play, which included handing Heritage their only league loss of the season, 8-7 in eight innings, on April 25.

Heritage defeated Freedom 5-0 earlier in the season, in the only other matchup between the two squads this year.

Meanwhile, the Liberty baseball team (13-11, 6-4 in league play) garnered the 13th seed, and will clash with the fourth-seed Foothill (18-7, 8-5 in the East Bay Athletic League) at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, at Foothill High School.

The Bay Valley Athletic League-champion Heritage softball team (22-2, 10-0 in league play) secured the second seed, and will clash with the 15th seed Concord (12-11, 5-7 in the Diablo Athletic League) at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Heritage High School.
