Oakley's Jackson Ramirez and his sister, Willow, recently won all three Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championships, starting with the local Oakland Diocese regional and California state contests.
This was Willow's first contest, but her brother is a seasoned veteran. After all the scores were tallied, Jackson had the highest score of kids in his age group from across the country and the world.
Jackson was named international free throw champion, an award which he received at a special ceremony. The siblings represented St. Anne’s Church in Byron in the contest.
